Security Checks on Staff

Temporary Staff

JPA Temps operates strict security checks before registering any new candidates. In the UK employers are obligated to establish that all employees are eligible to work in the UK in accordance with section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (AIA).

In line with the REC Code of Professional Practice and increasingly clients’ requirements, JPA Temps proactively seeks to establish its candidates’ eligibility to work in the UK in order to afford its clients the defence against the offence of employing / engaging illegal workers.

All candidates are also required to divulge details of unspent criminal convictions and complete a declaration form confirming their commitment to JPA acting on their behalf. Prior to sending a candidate to a temporary booking we will obtain at a minimum one reference but will always aim to obtain two.

All candidates complete Terms of Engagement which forms their contract with JPA. We also obtain a health and safety declaration from each candidate ensuring they take responsibility for any illness or area that may affect their ability to work.

Additional checks may be carried out at a client's request including, police checks and Criminal Record Bureau checks.

JPA Commercial operates strict security checks before registering any new candidates. In the UK employers are obligated to establish that all employees are eligible to work in the UK in accordance with section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 (AIA).
